SERVICES
Fire Suppression
Structural fire protection including both Residential and Commercial.
All of our firefighters complete a nationally recognized fire academy to become certified state firefighters. Many of our firefighters go well beyond the basic certification to be certificated as fire apparatus operators and officers.
Emergency Medical Services
Medical Response with Licensed Personnel
It is a requirement as a responder for our Fire District that all firefighters must be medically trained to a minimum of the State's Emergency Medical Responder (EMR) status. The district staffs one ambulance 24/7 using many Emergency Medical Technicians (EMT's) and Paramedics. The more advanced disciplines allow for even greater care for the members of our community.
Rescue
The ability to remove someone from a critical situation.
Our Firefighters are trained to provide a variety of rescue skills. Some of those include motor vehicle accident extrication, structure fire rescue.
HazMat
Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear
When a HazMat situation occurs, the Jefferson Fire District will respond and as the details of the situation come to light, our partnerships with local HazMat teams including the Albany Fire HazMat team assist.
Water Rescue
Swift water rescue
We help cover miles of the river on the Willamette, Santiam, North Santiam, South Santiam and seveal other bodies of water. We work closely with other agencies to resolve situations. We respond with our jet boat or raft.
